Spiked and Spiced Cold Toddy
We are not ones to play in the kitchen in a conventional way! Today we are flipping the classic seasonal Hot Toddy on its head with a refreshing twist on a classic. This one is spiked and spiced perfect for social occasions involving board games and chats solving the problems of the world ;)
We were inspired by the seasons and drawing the autumn and winter vibes into a comforting spiced beverage. In this recipe we have used our Black Tea & Yuzu.
East Forged Spiked and Spiced Cold Toddy
1 drink serve
Ingredients
1 can of East Forged Black Tea & Yuzu
1 measure (30ml) of rum, whiskey or brandy (alcohol)
1 teaspoon ginger honey syrup
Slice of lemon or lime to garnish
- Drizzle ginger honey syrup around the sides and bottom of your glass
- Add your choice of alcohol into a 300ml glass and stir
- Top with a can of Black Tea & Yuzu
- Garnish with a slice of lemon or lime
Ginger Honey Syrup
1 cup of water
1 cup of honey (try to source local honey!)
3 tablespoons of chopped fresh ginger
- Add ginger, water and honey to saucepan
- Bring to just below the boil then simmer over low heat with lid on for 5mins
- Cool and strain into container.
- Keep in fridge for up to one month
