A modern twist on the classic iced black tea and lemon

Bright Yuzu citrus aroma with the taste of black tea.  It has a light body, low acidity and creamy froth mouthfeel. Grown in the rich soil of Far North Queensland, free of pesticides and herbicides, our Australian black tea is carefully cold brewed to perfection without the bitterness that is found in hot tea.  Balanced with Yuzu – or for our friends in Korea, Yuja – this aromatic fruit is the ultimate citrus hit, with a burst of ripe fruit that takes you back to nature with every sip of this cleverly brewed alcohol-free drink 🐵

Black Tea (botanical name: Camellia Sinensis)

Leaf tea starts with the same plant and the different processing techniques contribute to the end resulting tea type – white, green, oolong, or black.  Black tea is created through the various processing techniques and skills of the tea farmer.  There are hundreds of different types of black tea depending on the cultivar or variety, terroir, and style of processing.  Around 90% of Australian Black tea has been growing in northern Australia since the late 1880’s with plants from Sri Lanka.

Yuzu or Yuja in Korea (botanical name: Citrus Junos) is a citrus fruit that is said to have originated in Central China.  It is an odd lemon-like fruit with a lot of seeds and is prickly to pick, has a difficult flavour to describe.  At best it is tart like a grapefruit with mandarin overtones.  Yuzu is widely used in Japan and Korea as a sauce, marmalade, preserve, or vinegar.  It is not usually eaten as a fruit.  Yuzu farms can be found in Australia, however, the fruit is usually presold to restaurants and rarely available for sale.

Judges notes: The initial nose is a pleasant black tea. It smells of freshly brewed tea leaves with very citrusy fruits, lime, lemon. The flavour of the tea is very pleasant and it is balanced perfectly with the citrus.

Been one of my favourite drink options for a while.

Refreshing and Low Calorie!

The Australian Black Tea & Yuzu Cold Brew is refreshing and low in calories. It’s really good. The cold-brewed black tea and yuzu flavor is great, and the fact that it’s almost zero calories makes me feel at ease to enjoy it.

This could very easily replace beer for me. The mouth feel is fantastic and the subtle fruit nose tannins and flavours are moorish. My only complaint is you need 375ml cans so I get the same qty as beer and it fills my glass.
Great product well done

Delicious and fun

Even before the first sip, I was impressed. The delicate foam really reminded me of a chilled beer, and the taste blew me away. I’m not big on sweet drinks and this was perfectly balanced with such depth of flavour. A great non-alcohol party drink or just a relaxing afternoon pick-me-up.

Thanks Molly

Healthy, refreshing, non-alcoholic drinks.

Black tea/yuzu is super thirst quenching for a hot day, and green tea/pitaya is great if you feel like a beer. Complex flavours and textures would appeal to foodies as all go well with food.
