There’s a common misconception that if you’re not drinking alcohol, you’re not having fun. Whoever thought to spread this rumour did a good job, but it’s definitely not the case and people are beginning to realise that. There is a not-so-new trend that’s making its way into the mainstream and that is non-alcoholic drinks. What makes this news even better is the significant improvement in the availability, quality and variety of non-alcoholic beverages.  So how do these alcohol-free variations fit into our society?

To celebrate National Recycling Week and this years theme "Recovery - A future beyond the bin" we thought in this blog we would share and encourage you to turn your East Forged containers into cash! Currently the Container Deposit Scheme is accessible to all Territories and most States with Tasmania and Victoria committed to implementation by 2023.

We think our cheeky monkey, MICO, star of East Forged's Black Tea & Yuzu deserves his own blog post after returning from the DB & SB Autumn Blind Tasting competition, run by UK-based publications The Drinks Business and The Spirits Business with a gold medal.

Something quite special happened this October. East Forged was awarded three medals in the DB & SB Autumn Blind Tasting competition, run by UK-based publications The Drinks Business and The Spirits Business. While the Green Tea & Pitaya and White Tea & Calamansi flavours each earned a Silver Medal, it was the Black Tea & Yuzu that impressed the judges and earned the highest Gold Medal recognition!

Elevating the tea experience is a top priority for our East Forged Co-founders Kym and Tania.  They will jump on any opportunity to talk, write and drink tea.  To say they are passionate about tea is an understatement because between them they have three tea companies!  They compete in competitions, travel to origin and are actively involved in the industry here and internationally.  They love to promote the value of tea as an ingredient and the impact it has for the beverage industry.
