Brewed with Purpose - The East Forged Way

🌱 At East Forged, we believe your tea should taste good and do good.  Our Environment, Sustainability and Governance statement should explain what we are doing and where we want to go.

We're not just crafting better tea brews - we're building a better way of doing business.  That means being honest about where our ingredients come from, how we treat people, and what impact we have on the planet.

💚 For the Planet

We know the world doesn't need more waste or empty promises.  That's why we're working to understand and reduce our climate footprint by focusing on what's realistic and meaningful for a growing Aussie business like ours.

 👩🏽🌾For the People

We know our tea farmers by name.  We only work with partners who share our values: fair conditions, safe workplaces and a respect for tradition and craft.

And it doesn't stop there, we care about our local community too.  Every team member gets 3 paid days to volunteer for a cause they love.

🔍 For Transparency & Trust

No greenwashing.  No shortcuts.  We hold ourselves to high standards in how we run our business; from food safety, container deposit schemes and staying on top of climate risks.  Doing the right thing shouldn't be optional.

When you choose East Forged, you're not just drinking tea.

You're raising a can to people, planet and purpose.

Why we're not climate certified (yet):

We've looked closely at climate certifications available in Australia, but right now many don't require full reporting of scope 3 emissions - the indirect emissions that often make up the biggest part of a company's footprint.

Until the standards become more robust and transparent, we've chosen not to pursue certification.

Instead, we're focusing on mapping a clear understanding of our actual impact and acting where it counts.
