East Forged Pty Ltd (ABN 29 632 440 110) (“we”, “our” or “us”) cares about your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use eastforged.com.
This Privacy Policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions, available on our website.
We will never rent, trade or sell your email address to anyone. We will never publicly display your email address or other personal details.

We handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which sets out 13 Australian Privacy Principles for how organisations collect and handle personal information.

Personal information we may hold about you includes:

We don’t see or store your full payment card details — see “Information provided to payment partners” below.
Information provided to payment partners
When you make a purchase, your payment is processed securely by our payment partners. Unless you tell us otherwise, we don’t see or have access to your payment information — only what we need to process your order and deliver it to you (your name, email, and billing/postal address).
How we collect your personal information
We only collect the information we need to run our business.

In most cases, you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Email our Privacy Officer at privacy@eastforged.com or write to us. We’ll respond as quickly as we can, and we won’t charge you a fee to make the request.
There may be some situations where we can’t give you access — for example, if it would be unlawful, or would affect someone else’s privacy. If that happens, we’ll explain why.
Correcting your personal information
If any of the personal information we hold about you is wrong, incomplete or out of date, let us know and we’ll fix it. If we disagree with you about whether it needs changing, we’ll add a note of your view to our records.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe and confidential. We store it electronically, with trusted hosting providers, and sometimes in hard copy. We protect our systems with firewalls, anti-virus software, email filters and passwords.
Third-party websites
Our site may link to other websites. Once you leave our site, this policy no longer applies — please check the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Re-marketing
We may use services like Google Ads and Facebook to show ads to people who’ve visited our site before, based on their browsing. These services may use cookies or similar tools. You can opt out through Google Ads Settings or Facebook’s Ad Preferences.
Overseas data storage
Some of our service providers — for example, Google and Shopify — may store or process your data overseas. We only work with providers who take reasonable steps to keep your data secure.
How long we keep your data

If there’s a data breach
If a data breach involving your personal information is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, in line with our obligations under the Privacy Act.
GDPR
Although we don’t operate in the EU or specifically target EU customers, if we ever collect personal information from someone in the EU, we intend to handle it in line with the GDPR. If this applies to you, you have the right to ask what information we hold, have it corrected or deleted, limit how we use it, object to certain uses, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will still meet our obligations under the Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles. We’ll post updates here.
